A velocity-time graph shows the relationship between velocity and time.
Velocity is represented on the y-axis (vertical axis)
Time is represented on the x-axis (horizontal axis).

- The slope of the line on the graph represents the acceleration of the object. A steeper slope means a larger acceleration.
- A horizontal line on the graph means that the velocity is constant (not changing). Therefore, no acceleration happened.

3. A curved line on the graph means that the velocity is changing at a non-constant rate.

- The area under the line on the graph represents the displacement travelled by the object. The larger the area, the greater the displacement.

Example:
A roller coaster going up and down a hill.

A car accelerating from a stop sign.

a ball being thrown in the air.
